Farmer-focused Biodiversity and Agricultural Knowledge Network
Agricultural land use covers the largest proportion of terrestrial land modified by human activities and is crucial for feeding humanity. The decisions on how farmers manage their land are major drivers of biodiversity change. Maintaining biodiversity is important for agricultural yields, food security, and for maintaining other ecosystem services.
In order to halt and reverse biodiversity decline, FarmBioNet aims to stimulate and foster knowledge exchange and the integration of research findings and practices related to farmland biodiversity, including those relevant to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Our role in the project
