Where Data Feeds Decisions
Citizens face various challenges in adopting healthy and sustainable eating habits, such as budget and time constraints, misinformation, or information overload. WiseFood aims to address these challenges by bringing together food domain experts and citizens to co-design solutions that democratise access to reliable food information.
The project will develop 3 digital applications – FoodScholar, RecipeWrangler and FoodChat, designed for knowledge extraction, recipe optimisation and personalised meal plans. These tools will provide sustainable food alternatives, reduce food waste and support healthier food choices. Tested in real-world settings through Living Labs in Ireland, Hungary, and Slovenia, the applications will serve as user-friendly and personalised AI-powered tools that encourage healthier and more sustainable decisions.
