Foodscale Hub is proud to announce that the 2nd iteration of the MPowerBIO Business Support Programme is launching end of May 2022, with the first training session on the 23rd.

MPowerBIO is a business and investment readiness programme that helps ambitious bioeconomy enterprises scale up and make a greater impact. It is designed to fuel the growth of leading bioeconomy SMEs by supporting their close collaboration with clusters, ecosystem builders, and investors.

The program is open to all startups and small and medium enterprises that have a ready-made MVP (minimum sustainable product), a dedicated founding team and developing a product or service in the field of food and bioeconomy.

In more detail, the programme offers bioeconomy startups and SMEs from all over Europe:

  • comprehensive trainings and expert support to enhance your investment readiness, business structure and idea presentation
  • networking opportunities with other companies, clusters as well as corporates and investors
  • pitching opportunities and participation at events in Europe
  • …… and more

10+ training sessions cover a wide range of topics – and the first one on the 23rd of May titled Start, build, grow: community engagement for bio-based SMEs will cover topics related to why and how to initiate community engagement and what is its overall benefit. Some of the other courses such as The Lean Canvas – your company’s business model on a single page will teach you how to reduce complexity and present your company’s business model in a clear and concise way; while The process and phases of raising capital – main steps including legal specifications course will introduce you to legal and financial mechanisms related to investing.

The best part is that all services of the MPowerBIO programme are free of charge thanks to Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) JU.
