Driving Progress: Charting Digital and Data Routes for European Livestock Tracking
Digi4Live aims to enhance the abilities of livestock industry participants in Europe to leverage data and digital technologies. It does this by bringing together various stakeholders, including farmers, technology suppliers, authorities, research initiatives, and others, to develop digital and data-related ideas collaboratively. Through this multi-actor approach, Digi4Live promotes the increased use of current and emerging technologies for tracking and tracing livestock.
It also contributes to establishing standards and consistent regulations, removing obstacles to data and new technologies. Furthermore, Digi4Live provides evidence of the economic, social, and environmental impacts of data-driven solutions in the livestock sector.
The overall outcome is more efficient administration, improved policy monitoring and assessment, and advantages for businesses and consumers, facilitating better-informed decision-making.
Our role in the project
Foodscale Hub (FSH) will lead Work Package 4 (WP4) – facilitate continued MAE (Multi-actor engagement) & DEC (Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation) and Work Package WP8 – Final DEC activities to ensure legacy & uptake of accepted approaches. FSH’s responsibilities include planning and coordinating DEC activities, as well as managing day-to-day DEC operations. This means that the project’s findings will be shared and communicated following Foodscale Hub’s guidance, while carefully and consistently keeping track of the project results to make sure that the target audience is aware and engaged in the project.
At the same time, FSH will build and strengthen partnerships with emerging, ongoing, and recently completed Horizon Europe projects, as well as other international, national, and local research and innovation projects, platforms, thematic networks, and AKIS actors.
