Introducing the Redesigned Open Call Hub by Foodscale Hub

We are finishing off 2025 with continuity, important milestones, and a spirit of innovatio – not only have we kicked-off several new projects this year from the Horizon Europe and Marie Skłodowska-Curie programmes, successfully brought to a close one Horizon Europe project, and took part in countless innovative activities – we have relaunched our proprietary Open Call Hub!
Our Open Call Hub is now live under a new and dedicated domain – opencallhub.info. From this point forward, all Open Calls managed by Foodscale Hub will be published, administered, and processed exclusively through this platform.
The transition to a new domain is more than an aesthetic and technical update. This is a dear and important milestone to us, especially in how we support innovation across Europe. It reflects our long-term commitment to clarity, accessibility, and careful oversight of Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP). The Open Call Hub has been relaunched with a refreshed design and improved functionality, ensuring that innovative stakeholders, evaluators, and project coordinators can rely on a single, stable point of reference for funding opportunities we manage.
Open Call Hub: A Platform Built for Fair and Efficient Funding
The Open Call Hub (OCH) was created to streamline the entire lifecycle of Open Calls, from publication to evaluation and selection.
Which Open Calls can you find on this platform?
This platform publishes Open Calls exclusively from selected EU-funded projects in which Foodscale Hub is a partner. Only projects that include Open Calls as part of their official project activities are featured here.
Please note that not all Foodscale Hub projects include Open Calls; therefore, only those that do are published on this platform.
Each call is clearly presented and leads to the websites under which the Open Call is organised. On the project websites, interested applicants can see the scope of funding, eligibility requirements, timelines, and evaluation criteria.
Applicants submit their proposals directly through the Open Call Hub platform, where they are assessed by qualified evaluators against predefined and transparent standards.
This structured approach ensures fairness, comparability, and accountability – principles that are essential when managing EU funds.
While there are no active Open Calls at the time of writing, future opportunities will be announced exclusively on opencallhub.info. Thus, we strongly recommend that interested innovators follow the platform closely.
Our Impact by the Numbers
Since its launch, the Open Call Hub has supported a significant volume of funding activity across multiple Horizon Europe projects. Here is our 2025 progress:
- 5 Open Calls launched (4 completed, 1 ongoing)
- 2. 365 applications submitted by innovators
- 3. 106 evaluators involved in the assessment process
- 52 participating countries
- €4,050,640 total budget for Open Calls
These figures reflect both the demand for accessible funding mechanisms and the trust placed in Foodscale Hub to manage them responsibly.
Selected subprojects were launched under Farmtopia, OpenAgri, and INCiTiS-FOOD, while TITAN subprojects successfully completed their implementation.
- Farmtopia supported 18 beneficiaries across 9 subprojects (€900,000), focusing on areas such as viticulture, olive farming, kiwi production, medicinal plants, and plums.
- TITAN funded 9 beneficiaries through 8 subprojects (€1,250,640), addressing food safety, sustainability, and health
- OpenAgri supported 18 beneficiaries across 9 subprojects (€900,000), advancing precision irrigation, crop monitoring, digital twins, pest detection, smart livestock management, apiculture automation, and agricultural robotics
- INCiTiS-FOOD funded 21 beneficiaries through 8 subprojects (€940,000), with innovations in circular technologies including aquaponics, hydroponics, and insect farming.
Part of a Broader Acceleration Effort
The Open Call Hub is a core element of Foodscale Hub’s Acceleration Division, which supports SMEs, startups, spin-offs, and scale-ups, particularly those emerging from research and academic environments. Beyond funding, this division delivers coaching, mentorship, and growth-oriented programmes that help innovators move from concept to market.
Managing FSTP mechanisms remains one of Foodscale Hub’s central areas of expertise. From defining call frameworks to supporting funded beneficiaries, the Open Call Hub enables us to deliver these processes with consistency and integrity.
Follow Us for Future Updates
